The Okeechobee Steakhouse claims to be the oldest steakhouse in Florida. It is definitely old school in both the service and menu. I decided to try it for lunch while I was waiting for the car to be serviced at the Mercedes dealer which is virtually next door. It was surprisingly busy and the large bar was full. I had a very good strip steak and they have an extensive wine list. It’s not at the Abe & Louie’s or Gallaghers level, but it was very satisfying and a good value. Open 7 nights and for lunch Monday – Friday.
