Wine Room Kitchen & Bar
My notes
The Wine Room features two bars, a restaurant, wine tasting by the glass, a retail wine store, a high end cellar and a retail cheese shop all located in the former Café Martier space on Atlantic. It requires some exploration to take it all in, but if you like a varied menu, and especially cheese, charcuterie and trying wine you are going to be happy there. The main part of the space where the primary bar and the wine tasting machines are located is probably noisier than most of you would like. The Speakeasy Bar and the restaurant seating in it and in a room towards the back on that side are definitely quieter. You can try any of the numerous wines from the tasting machines, or order a bottle from the retail store to which they add a corkage fee. They have 50 cheeses to choose from and offer a variety of cheese/charcuterie options which made for a great first course (or meal). The menu has enough choices to suit pretty much everyone, and all of the things we’ve tried have been very good.
